Newcastle Toy Run Charity (Bikers For Kids)- Tiffany

Hello, my name is Tiffany and I have been participating in the "Newcastle Toy Run" for 15 years, where we decorate dad's motorbike with Christmas decorations and attach a few brand new toys to the bike and ride around Stockton and Newcastle accompanied with thousands of other motorcyclist, waving to children and bringing smiles to their faces as all the decorated bikes ride past.
We all gather at Wickham Park -Newcastle, donating the toys to The Salvation Army where the toys are distributed to families in need.
The charity event was not able to go ahead last year due to Covid-19 which would of affected so many families.
After the year we just had and having the Hunter Region heavily affected by Covid once again, I would like to do something bigger this year and raise money as well as donate some toys to the charity.


"The Bikers for Kids Newcastle Toy Run is an annual Community Fundraising Event held on the first Sunday of December each year to raise funds for disadvantaged families and provide toys for kids that would otherwise go without this Christmas.
With more than 40 years behind us, the event commenced in 1978 with around 20 bikes. The Toy Run is totally focused on providing toys and support for Hunter kids and families. We use our networks to collect donations for charities such as The Salvation Army so that parents can come in and choose a toy for their children, take it home, wrap it and put it under the tree. The parents get the self-esteem of being able to provide for the children and the children get the gift of knowing that their parents (or Santa Claus!) were able to give them a present."
