This fund is for research and reporting about domestic violence in Australia - specifically on coercive control - and finding legal and medical solutions to better protect victims. Following the murder of Hannah Clarke and her children in February 2020, I have reported extensively about coercive control and assisted many women to escape from violence. The work is labour-intensive but is life-saving. Many women can't fund their own rescue. Getting to safety should not be dependent on the victim's wealth but on society's duty to protect victims.
