Hi everyone - and thanks for coming to learn more about how we’re tackling youth homelessness. 

We’re raising $80k to pay for the construction, fit-out, equipment and furnishing of a new social enterprise cafe in Middle Park. As a direct result of this venture, For Change Co. will be able to support more young people experiencing homelessness than ever before.

If you're unfamiliar with who I am, I'm Aiden Fernandez and a big supporter of For Change Co. and its endeavours to eliminate youth homelessness in Australia. I got involved about 4 years ago when my little brother (Levi) was working to build up the newest social enterprise (home.one) and I wanted to offer my time to volunteer to the organisation. 

It was important to me that providing my time contributed towards something that was adding value but also made me feel connected with the cause. Working side by side with the employees showed me just how impactful the organisation had already been. Fast forward 4 years and I'm seeing amazing growth and an incredible social return on investment (SROI) - over 200% to date - and that makes me feel really pumped to see that this social enterprise works incredibly well. 

Given this, I want to champion and be at the forefront of change for the next chapter at For Change Co., and you can too. We will get to see first-hand the people this is helping, build a sustainable social enterprise and more importantly be part of the much-needed change. In my experience, change is difficult for one person - and when we get a big group of people who agree that homelessness can be eradicated, I believe we can do amazing things.
