Lisa is a hardworking and dedicated mother, nanny, daughter, sister and beloved friend to so many. Not too long ago Lisa received the awful news that she has stage 4 colon cancer. Unfortunately it has spread to her liver as well. Lisa has had to stop working so she can get chemotherapy treatment that will hopefully shrink her cancer. She starts this treatment early next week. But her regular bills and possible secondary treatments still cost money and we are hoping to be able to ease the financial stress for Lisa by bribing everyone to give us money for her, in exchange for us shaving our heads completely bald. Not a trim, not shaved on one side, we’re talking see-your-reflection-on-our-heads bald. My Dad, 66yr old trucker, has had his beloved ‘Afro’ for decades. In my entire life I cannot recall a time where this man didn’t resemble Wilson from The Castaway. His head? Bald. My partner, 39yr old man-baby who takes great pride in getting his hair regularly maintained by professional barbers. His head? Bald. My son, 11yr old autistic who has vowed to do everything his gorgeous little soul can do to help his Aunty Lisa. His head? Bald. Me, 37yr old pregnant and obsessed with growing my hair long and getting foils and touch ups every few weeks for the last 10yrs. My head? Bald. We are trying to raise this money within 30days. The set date for our big shave will be August 30th. Once we reach $1000 we will shave my dads head. He’s thrilled. And we will even video or live stream the whole event for your amusement. Our goal is to raise $5000 for Lisa. This will go such a long way in helping ease the financial burden she’s facing. Any donation at all will help.
