During the 670KM ride I will be raising money for charity. My business, Sales & Leadership Performance, has a long standing association with RRT Australia.

Some of you may not of heard of them but they doing amazing things.
They deliver hope and relief to people across our great land. Whether it be fire, flood or humanitarian need, RRT expands their support services to meet the crisis at hand.

RRT offers quality catering assistance and tangible support to charities, government and emergency services confronting some of humankind’s greatest challenges.
Led by the Christian principles of care and compassion, RRT’s army of volunteers operate from the heart across the globe, and lend a helping hand to people in need and that’s why they are my charity of choice.
Any donation is appreciated, but the bigger the better so they can continue & expand the work they do for our community.

Cairns to Cape – An experience not felt possible

After a year of no exercise and being the most unfit Ive ever been I agreed to take part in the Cairns to Cape York Mountain Bike Ride run by the team at PEAK.

Step 1- Buy a Bike to Ride on ?
Yes that’s right I did not own a bike when I signed up for this adventure. With my longest bike ride ever being 35km ( 20 years ago) I had a bit of work to do.
Step 2- Get the Legs turning
Step3- Back it up a few days in a row
I just started to get into the swing of back to back riding days and then was hit hard with glandular fever and was off the bike for 6 weeks of my 16 weeks preparation.
This was a huge setback for my fitness and confidence.
Step 4- Get back on the bike and make it happen
For the last 3 weeks Ive been back and the bike and back into it and while my prep has not been ideal I keep reminding myself that the human body can do amazing things. Im not a quitter and my mind is set to complete this adventure.
