Oxygen for India - Sponsor the deep dive challenge

My two friends and their families are suffering under the covid-19 Pandemic. Both people, different religions, different regions, have helped many underprivileged people with small businesses and now they need help themselves. Firstly themselves and to then to help others of course as they do.

Both has been diagnosed with Covid-19 , one of my friends reported his oxygen levels are going down quickly , he has lost has lost his business recently of many years whereby he supported his children to university . He provided rickshaws for poverty stricken people to provide them with income . He is in a fight with this disease and is focussed on trying to survive atm.

My other dear friend with COVID-19 has a beautiful wife and two small boys. They are in a different part of India have provided medical supplies for remote villages, water wells, businesses for women and now they need help to recover themselves to help others. Both say it is absolutely devastating what the virus is doing to every family and then there is the after affects surviving economically.

My aim is to put my own two tanks to use in diving to raise money on 8 & 9 May when I do my deep 40 metre dive.

I have had my own personal challenges to achieve this dive . So using my two tanks to raise money would be awesome to assist these families and wider community in crisis . We can’t provide tanks to India as that is for bigger corporations but we can put our tanks to good use in providing assistance and some medical support to do our bit.

Finances would go to medicine, antibiotics, vitamin supplements, steam vaporisers, quality food (fresh if possible), paracetamol and Oximeter to monitor oxygen levels.

I have been told that ventilators are available in hospital however it is user pays approximately 10,000 INR which is approximately $172.00 AUD - This is out of many people's reach in India.

My max depth is 40 metres or 36 metres ( as sea bed is at that depth) I will use a combination of oxygen, helium and nitrogen gas - my first dive using this mix :)

This has been a great personal challenge and have had to work harder than most working through anxiety and and back problems. So please join with me in this challenge sponsoring and supporting Indian families in a tangible way.

Ps : This is not a religious cause as India has mixed religions and I have friends from in all religions in India. This is a humanitarian cause specifically as people are suffering
