I am one of the rare female solo cyclists tackling the 660km of gravel, corrugations, winds and dust of the Gibb River Road as a part of the Gibb Challenge 2021. I wanted this to be a hard challenge to inspire you all to donate generously to my 2 chosen charities.

Kalumburu Strong Women's Centre (Community Focus National Limited). Kalumburu is in the Kimberley and is the most remote community in Western Australia. It has just over 400 people living there and is a community with many challenges. I was fortunate enough to visit the Kalumburu Strong Women's Centre which was established as a domestic violence shelter for women and children escaping violence in the community. The centre is also a hub that aims to build capacity in women and girls by providing support, education, and opportunities including development of artistic endeavours and business skills. Knowing the challenges these strong women and girls face every day, has inspired me to do this ride to support them. The centre runs on very little funding and your donation will ensure the centre can continue to be a place of safely and support for the girls and women in the Kalumburu community.

Royal Flying Doctor Service WA is a charity with a huge responsibility. They provide health care and emergency life-saving medical treatment.
