Period poverty keeps millions of girls out of school each year. I am seeding and leading a project to eliminate period poverty from Korogocho a large slum area in Nairobi, Kenya where we have a school. I will start this by employing a lady who will make 1000 sustainable sanitary pads and distribute them to girls in the community. We already own one sewing machine so this money will be used to purchase materials and pay the lady given the job to make sanitary items.
In2EdAfrica is an Australian registered Not For Profit. We started in 2019 and have already built two schools in Kenya and a library in Rwanda. Our intention is to operate sustainable educational solutions and teach children holistically both in and out of the classroom.
