Talofa lava.
I am Toeolesulusulu Cedric Pose Salesa Schuster, a FAST Party candidate for the Aana Alofi 4 constituent in the Samoa General Elections on April 9th 2021.
Campaign Challenges
I realize that this year has been challenging for many of us but humbly ask if you can consider supporting my election campaign. As a result of border closures and the ongoing State of Emergency in Samoa, fundraising activities for my campaign have now taken shape using a non-traditional e-platform. I hope family and friends will embrace this opportunity to support my campaign although we cannot be together.
A brief profile
I have over 30 years background working internationally, regionally and nationally on environment, climate change and sustainable international development issues. Based on this experience, I see the impacts of unsustainable development, as well as mismanagement of our nations limited resources causing widespread inequality amongst our people. This has compelled me to run and speak up for those who have been disenfranchised.
I have lived and served my families, villages and church in Samoa for most of my life and have been involved with the development of our youth through sports, education, environmental programs, and employment as well as serving in our Satapuala village council for over 20 years as a matai.
I have promoted and supported village council lead development initiatives for the schools, water reticulation, conservation, infrastructural works as well as assisting the different sectors of the community such as farmers, women’s committee and youth to improve their livelihoods.
My intentions
It is my intention if elected to expand this support and be a beacon of our constituency in Parliament by seeking opportunities via government resources and outside assistance to further improve the education and health of our people, upgrade the infrastructure in roads, electricity, water supply and telecommunication, increase employment opportunities for our people and to return Satapuala’ s customary lands.
As a member of the FAST Party, we acknowledge and respect our customs, traditions and Christian values as the basis for developing a sustainable Samoa that provides equal access and opportunities for all its people to improve their livelihoods. Help me realise my dream of a prosperous and thriving Samoa.
Faafetai, Faafetai tele lava and thank you for your support and generous assistance. God Bless.
Manuia lou fa'amoemoe, matou tatalo atu mo oe.
