Well 2020 has been a year like no other. A global pandemic has put the world on its knees.
Here in Australia, businesses have been sent broke, border closures have seen families split apart, thousands have lost their jobs and livelihoods and some people have even been left homeless.
There is no doubt the weight of stress bearing down on many of us, is affecting our mental health. Never has there been a more important time to let people know that they are not alone, and it aint weak to speak.
That’s why, the three of us , and with the help of the incredible people at LIVIN, have created the concept 48 FOR A MATE.
On the last weekend in October, all three of us will attempt to complete the fitness challenge 4x4by48.
So, what is 4by4by48, well, it was invented by American fitness guru, David Goggins, his concept was to complete 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours.
Now we will attempt to do the same, but we are changing it up. Instead of just running, we have a number of exercises.
And we want to invite you along on our journey. Either by donating to the cause, the funds all, of which go directly to the wonderful organisation, LIVIN, or join us on one of the 13 legs we will complete in the 48 hours.
Now you can do that by following our schedule which we will share with you on social media, or do it at home and send us a video or even a photo of any of the workouts you complete.
Now we understand times are tough, but every little bit helps.
All the details, including important health and diet advice for anyone that wants to do the challenge with us, will be available, so too, all the social distancing requirements and public gathering numbers, which is very important.
