Education of disabled childrens

Few months back I have been to one of the most unique schools, i have ever visited and after returning from that school I believe that I should share something about it with everyone.

The reason why this school is unique is not because it is a school for disabled children but because of its humble beginning. This school started approximately 30 years ago in a small district called Dang, located in Gujarat of India. This school initially started in form of small hut type structure by a group of teachers who realized that there was a gap in the society for visually impaired children. Due to visual limitation the children were not getting appropriate/basic education which they deserved; therefore, they started this school with a goal to help them in getting at least basic education so that they could read and write using a method developed by Louise braille. Since then the school has constantly been able to live up to its moto. They are still evolving using support from local community. Today they are not just helping blind children but also children with other limitations such as hearing-impairment, mutism, polio and so on. From a small sized hut style structure to a structure with proper bricks and other necessary tools/instruments to help these underprivileged children. Today they are not just providing basic education(i.e. class 4) to these children but the education go to class 12.They also try to organize various extracurricular activities(I have found a YouTube video of one such dance show if anyone wants to watch that) within the school, they provide shelter, food to all children 3 times a day, clothes . Using the funds, they are including various infrastructure to school so that visually challenged children can learn by touching and feeling the various items such as shapes and the types of various surfaces etc. This is one of the examples i have seen at that school and there are many. This has been the journey of this school, all this has happened due to support from various groups of society and people believing in helping these children.

I have been informed that the school runs completely on donation it receives from people. I will be donating something from my end to this school but with the growing responsibilities of these children it would not be much meaningful so this campaign is for them, to make some serious and meaningful contribution towards the cause of the school so that they can survive in this challenging times when local support is drying up due to Covid-19. I believe that there are many like me who would be willing to contribute something to help these children and bring significant change to their lives.

The fund we provide them can be used towards maintaining/upgrading school infrastructure, bringing in latest educational instruments according to the needs of these children to teach them, for their food and clothes, salaries of the teaching staff, and so on.

I will be doing my bit but i would like to make it impactful, so those of you who are capable of contributing towards this cause can help. It would be extremely helpful of everyone who can appreciate the task this school and teachers are doing. Again, thank you very much for your contribution.
