Dumbleyung Station Masters House for New Community Historical Space

The Dumbleyung community members who are passionate about history are well known for embarking on very ambitious projects, finding & reconnecting past residents & descendants and ensuring that information is recorded for future generations.

Extensive information has been recorded over the last 40+ years thanks to this revolving group of passionate people, seeing wonderful resources such as the Dumbleyung and Districts Short Stories, Pictorial, Beyond the Fence and History of Dumbleyung just to name a few.

History interests all generations and after an historical meeting in February the current vibrant group are gearing up to champion an exciting new project where they hope to raise funds to purchase the Station Masters House for historical display purposes. They wish to establish community use of the Station Masters House on Absolon St for a self-guided historical tourism display to unify the Dumbleyung Railway Precinct. The Dumbleyung Railway Precinct is one of the last small near complete precincts in rural WA!

The Historical Group are willing and already doing the research, and ground work. If you would like to see a new community space for locals, past residents and their decedents to value and visit, the Historical Group would love your help! While the group can research, co-ordinate and donate some funds themselves they still need important financial help from the wider community to afford to purchase and fit out the Station Masters House.
