What a year 2020 has been for everyone so far, but for the Moss family it has been even harder... many of you will know our dear sister Nichola has been fighting breast cancer over the last four months. Nic & Jono were celebrating the birth of their third beautiful little girl Quinn when delivered the devastating news that Nic has breast cancer. Quinn was only 3 weeks’ old at the time and Nic started her treatment just two weeks later. Nic has shown so much strength and bravery over the last 15 challenging weeks of treatment but unfortunately, this second round of chemotherapy has not been very successful. This means the next phase of treatment will involve immunotherapy (alongside chemo) which is being used to treat Nic’s form of breast cancer - and it’s not currently covered under the PBS in Australia. The immunotherapy treatment itself costs a small fortune, with each weekly round costing $5,200, there are five rounds and then the PBS covers treatment after this. Immunotherapy is a new type of treatment that boosts the body's immune system to fight the cancer. Nic and Jono are not ones to ask for help and we really needed to convince them to be ok with using this platform. Nic has only one small request: please do NOT share this around on public social platforms like Facebook, Instagram etc. Please only share in private messages, messenger and WhatsApp messages amongst your friends, family and friends of Nic's. We are aware there are a lot of people we haven't connected with in Nic's world that would like to help and we hope this finds it's way to you.
