Currently our (feminine hygiene and compost toilet) projects are on hold however we are working with the local government in Manus province to provide soap bars to every household for the next 8 months as well as safe hand washing instructions in the local language. For the majority of PNG people living subsistence lifestyles, soap is a luxury item! We have already successfully approached a few Australia based Rotaries to support this project and are still looking for a few more sponsors to fund the whole 8 months. The aim of this appeal is to sponsor at least one local area in Manus province and provide soap for 8 months for all households.
