Tass

Hi everyone,

My name is Cherie and we have set up this mycause page for our very dear friend Tassanee.

Tassanee (Tass) is married to Mark (Tibbs), who we have known for more than 20 years and they have a beautiful, but cheeky, 7 year old daughter Nalina (our God Daughter). They are a beautiful family and we all love them dearly.

Tass’ story started a few years ago in 2015 when she was diagnosed with stage 2 cervical cancer. At this time, they were living in Thailand as Tibbs had a job there, and she underwent Radiation and Chemotherapy that knocked her around a fair bit. After this initial battle we thought she had kicked it but unfortunately a routine follow up in early 2019 revealed it had returned. Following this, and in an effort to just “get rid of it”, Tass underwent major surgery but there were complications and she had to have a 2nd major surgery to try to repair her bladder where the cancer had spread to. But again, it has come back…and it is more aggressive.

So she needs more Chemotherapy. High dose as she can’t have any more Radiation therapy.

Tass started treatment at the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse in Camperdown last Friday and the course will run for 18 weeks. We hope and pray for success this time, and to have our friend happy and healthy again so she can relax and smile with us all. This battle she is fighting has been going for too long and she needs a break.

So, to show support to Tass, and to raise money for Chris O’Brien Lifehouse who do such fantastic work for all those who are suffering from all types of cancer, our very good friend Marco, myself, my daughter and husband have pledged to shave our heads. We would love as many people to join us as possible (it will grow back).

I understand that so many people are struggling at the moment as a result of Covid-19 but whatever you are able to donate would be truly appreciated. Donate a couple of dollars if you can, or shave your own head and raise a few dollars across your friends and family also. All proceeds raised will be going directly to Chris O’Brien Lifehouse.
