About Talent Beyond Boundaries

We work with refugees and other displaced people to help them compete for international jobs; and we work with employers in Australia, Canada, the UK and New Zealand to remotely recruit skilled refugees and sponsor their visas. At the same time, we lobby governments to create migration pathways that actually enable refugees to relocate for work. 

This is a totally new way of working with refugees; focused on leveraging their talents and strengths.

Why is this important? 

Refugees face a range of barriers when seeking work internationally, and these challenges are even greater for refugee women. These include lack of access to information about job opportunities overseas, English language barriers, visa barriers, caring responsibilities and lack of resources to fund the costs of migration. These issues are all exaserbated by gender discrimination.

How we'll use your donation

We help refugee women overcome the the specific barriers that too often lock them out of international job opportunities. From providing career counselling, interview preparation and English language support, to advice on visa pathways, we provide a wholistic service to women and their families. 

We also encourage businesses and governments to apply a gender lens to their hiring and visa processes in order to address the unique challenges facing refugee women.

The money raised through this appeal will enable us to scale up our targeted support for women refugee candidates, boosting their chances of securing a job offer in a safe country, where they can support themselves and their families.
