Since the beginning of our summer, Australia has faced unprecedented fire and weather conditions. Reports have suggested that 5 million hectares have burnt across the country.
JCI Australia is seeking support from our members, global family, Senators and friends to aid the emergency relief effort.
Donations received through this campaign will go towards supporting the work of Australian Red Cross, which right now are providing critical help to thousands of people in evacuation centres and recovery hubs across Australia.
Australian Red Cross has been chosen for our campaign due to their decades of experience in caring for people affected by earthquakes, cyclones, floods, storms, fire, drought and other emergencies.
One of the many things that they are doing is coordinating a Register.Find.Reunite service, which reunites people who have been separated in the bushfire emergency. The service has registered over 30,000 people and taken more than 5,000 enquires so far. For the parts of the country without power, reception or communication, this has been a vital link for loved ones and family.
Please dig deep and donate generously. We thank you in advance for your support.
