Supporting Canberra's community charities

This year, Crawford School is undertaking a special initiative designed to raise money for two very important local charities performing essential work in the Canberra region.

We have chosen two charities who we, as a school, as a body of scholars, staff and students, will work closely with over the next year – raising funds for them, raising their profile, and supporting their work through our public events program – Women with Disabilities and the Early Morning Centre.

The Early Morning Centre on Northbourne Avenue provides lunches, cuppas, showers, mailing addresses, access to computers, phone support and referral to other services. The Centre serves up to 900 breakfasts each month and over 1000 people access their Community Hub. It plays an essential role in supporting people at difficult times in their lives.
