Gold Coast hinterland residents have been told to stay alert while firefighters work to control a bushfire in a national park.
Bushfires have eased but many people, animals and businesses have been displaced. Many of those affected are returning to properties totally devoid of viable feed for their animals. Their lands are burnt and there is no grazing.
Tamborine Mountain Chamber of Commerce & Industry (TMCCI) in conjunction with Scarecrow Festival are fundraising in support of providing feed for these desperate animals.
Donate to supply fresh, green hay *1 x Bale @ $35 each = feeds a horse for 8 days*
Donation buckets will be at the Tamborine Mountain Visitor Information Centre, IGA, Professionals Real Estate Mountain & Tamborine offices, Thunderbird Park and in shops along Gallery Walk.
Donations are going to Tamborine Produce for providing fresh hay to Canungra Produce store, and for assisting with the distribution of hay. A big thank you to both
