Hornets Touch have committed to raising money for the research and awareness of Testicular Cancer in Australia.
A part from 'it's a good cause', we have a devilish reason... to turn one of our Life Members into a Hornets coloured billboard.
Hornets Life Member, Don Green, has agreed that if we reach our goal, we can dye his hair bright purple (Including head, beard and eyebrows).
OUR GOAL: $5,000
Plus, Hornets have agreed to match the first $1,000 dollar-for-dollar!
The fundraising campaign will encompass all four Hornets tournaments (Hornets Champs, Don Green Western Jnr Champs, Central Coast Jnr Champs, Peter Wilson Memorial Champs), and will end with the colouring on Don's hair on the Sunday of the 2020 Peter Wilson Memorial Championships (Sun 2 Feb 2020).
As Australia's peak national non-government cancer control organisation, Cancer Council Australia advises the Australian Government and other bodies on practices and policies to help prevent, detect and treat cancer. We also advocate for the rights of cancer patients for best treatment and supportive care.
