This year, we are taking part in the White Shirt Campaign to raise awareness and funds for ovarian cancer research.
Our Mum Angela was diagnosed with Stage 3 - Ovarian Cancer approximately 3 years ago with extremely vague symptoms. Mum has undergone extensive surgery, two rounds of chemotherapy and one round of radiation in this time. There is no test, therefore it is very often detected in its late stages.
We are hosting a White Shirt Fundraiser at Oliver Birch on Wednesday 8 May 10am - 12noon. $10 on entry includes your coffee/tea (made by Deb who is itching to get back onto the coffee machine for you all!) and a beautiful Morning Tea kindly donated by The Good Loaf and Edwards Providore.
Artist, Paula Zetlein will also be showcasing her beautiful work on this day only and 10% of her proceeds will be kindly donated to Ovarian Cancer research.
A shocking 70% of women diagnosed today won’t be here in five years’ time. Only by investing in research will we find the test that will catch it early, and that’s exactly what the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) does.
Please join us for a Morning Tea wearing your White Shirt to raise awareness for this disease.
You can also head online or into any Witchery store and buy one of their specially designed white shirts until 8th May. All proceeds will support ovarian cancer research.
Thanks for your support!
