The Zonta Club of Northern Beaches, with Barrenjoey High School, held a very successful Community Birthing Kit Packing Day on Saturday 15 June from 1pm.

Our goal each year is to pack 2000 kits. Cost $3 each = $6000

Donations of $2 or more are tax deductable and you will be sent a receipt from the donate page

Each Birthing Kits contains 6 basic components:
1 sheet of black plastic
1 piece of soap,
2 disposable gloves
5 gauze squares
3 pieces of string to tie off the cord
1 precious sterile blade - to cut the cord!

Birthing Kits are distributed by the Birthing Kit Foundation of Australia (BKFA), in association with their partners, in many developing countries as part of a health education program. With these items childbirth can be made safer for women across the world and save the lives of their babies.
