Seymour Performers Workshop (SPW) is a volunteer community theater organisation based in country Victoria. Throughout the year they bring together our entire rural farming community through the love of theater and performing Arts. Seymour is brought to life through the musicals, plays and comedy shows the theater provides.
SPW proudly brings artists together from all ages and backgrounds and provides an amazing platform for young artist to enjoy their art whist being mentored through our amazing team of volunteers. The effort is huge and all volunteer work. The team includes actors, singers, dancers, choreographers, dance teachers, music teachers, producers, directors, writers, costume design, seamstresses, light technicians, sound technicians, set designers, set builders, stage crew, stewards and the rest. Its amazing to watch the youngest stars and seasoned veterans laugh together (sometimes cry) throughout the shows and our teachers volunteer their time to bring out the best in the performers.
SPW aims for the stars every time and there are so many costs involved, not all of which can be redeemed. The cost
of Performance Rights alone are significant. Costumes, sets, trades, technicians all add up.
You can check out SPW at https://spworkshop.org.au for this years program of events you can support. Support for the youth performance of "You're a good man Charlie Brown - The Musical" and our end of year show "Footloose - The Musical" will be amazing shows.
Please support this amazing community theatre group. Together we can keep country theatre not just alive but thriving and ensure all our dedicated members stay connected and launch the future of out next generation of performers.
Great cause Clint, so proud of you, big big loves xxx
