The moment that someone realises that losing their hair is suddenly a reality... It’s one of the first thoughts most people have when they’re told the news. My dear friend was diagnosed with Breast Cancer late 2018. This is why I shaved my head on Wednesday 27th March!! Through the battle of fighting the cancer, we realise that the impact is so far bigger than losing your hair. My friend is so strong and such a fighter. She completed her final chemo treatment March 25th and will start radiation treatment soon. She has been blessed with an amazing family, doctor and support network. I am doing this as an act of support and love for her. Her world-reknown doctor Arlene Chan has an exciting vision that will become reality next year and I’m so pleased to be supporting it. I have seen through my friend the number of doctor appointments, tests, surgeries, specialist appointments etc that keep her busy even during the worst days. Arlene Chan is opening a ‘one-stop shop’ for breast cancer is how my friend describes it. She explains how this would make the battle a little less complicated and a little less stressful. For more info on the centre visit https://bcrc-wa.com.au/our-story/our-new-centre/ So please donate to support my friend, her doctor and those who are yet to be diagnosed to have an amazing place to assist them in their battle with cancer.
