Kindness changes lives. We’d like you to share your kindness by participating in #projectnepal2019 to support the children of a monastic institution in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Joanne and Julia are both ex-bankers who decided to serve humanity as part of their life journey through their shared beliefs and life experiences. This decision ultimately changes their lives and hopefully many more with your help!
This project aims to build two levels of brand new bedrooms on a vacant land within the grounds of the monastery. There are about 200 monks residing there and the young children have very limited rooms and space to move. They live in very cramped conditions with up to 10 children living in just one room. They can only just barely fit in their beds. This hinders space for their hygiene, education and wellbeing.
The new building consisting of 8 bedrooms can accommodate about 32 children. This by no means is a luxury (by western world standards) but in their world, it would be.
The funding will also provide for quality infrastructure that is safe against natural disasters like flooding and earthquakes, which are natural phenomenons in Kathmandu, Nepal. Hence being in a remote village on top of the hill, the cost would be higher than building a similar unit in the city vicinity. Once we achieve our target, this building will be constructed with the aim of sustainability for the future years.
Your kindness in supporting such a cause like this does not only help the young children, but also contributing to the survival of the spiritual and cultural tradition of Tibet. Therefore, we humbly seek your kind support to join us in this project. Your generous donation would help us to realise this project in 2019.
We can only achieve this with your help.
Please feel free to contact us for further info or how we can work with you to assist with your contribution. Joanne Yong (+61405803308) | Julia Lee (+60122841303)
