I am out of running retirement to raise funds for an awesome piece of equipment for Bondi Beach - a wheelchair access mat!
Can you imagine going down to the beach every summer and knowing that you helped to raise funds and give access to people who have never been able to swim at the beach with us?
Every little helps. $5, $50 or $100 - whatever you can spare. (Think of it like buying me a drink!) I have been a member of Bondi Surf Lifesaving Club for about 12 years. The funds raised will be managed by the club and will go directly to this piece of equipment. We are aiming to raise $10k!
At the moment I can struggle through about 9ks. So I have 5 weeks to get this up to 14ks with a big hill in the middle! My struggle up Heartbreak Hill will help people who are not able to run or walk enjoy the basic pleasures of the beach.

Funds donated to the My Cause Gift Fund will be disbursed to Bondi Surf Bather's Life Saving Club. The trustees will always disburse funds to the nominated cause, however in the case that that is not possible, the funds will be disbursed to a DGR charity at the trustees discretion.
