All who know Noel Haslam Junior would agree he is a hard working, hard playing, humble family man. From coaching junior Rugby League to training indigenous youth in carpentry skills for further employment, Noel is a huge believer in empowering people to be the best they can be and now Noel, his wife Nicole and their three children need our support.
On Friday 8 June 2018, Noel was flown from Horn Island to Townsville and then to the Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane, after suffering heart failure due to a very rare viral infection. He is very seriously ill in Intensive Care but fighting hard. Noel will require extensive medical care and rehabilitation. With Noel and Nicole unable to work for the unforeseeable future, this places the family under considerable emotional and financial strain.
Although Noel has always tackled any hardships or challenges head on and balks at asking others for help, he would also want to ensure the well-being of his young family.
The Haslam and Ryan families whole-heartedly thankyou and are humbled by the love and support shown by family, friends and the wider community since Noel’s illness.
Thinking of you all Tom & Di Boggs
