What is the Footprint Project?
Over the last 5 years, together have given clean water to 1,700,487 people, what an incredible achievement! We raise up and train local teams to ensure our projects are sustainable so that clean water keeps on flowing.
However, we believe it’s time to focus on how we ensure clean water continues to be given, the broken are restored and the hurting are healed for GENERATIONS to come long after we are gone.
Sustainability is key and needs to be done through the empowerment of the local people.
We are about to put a stake in the ground to create a legacy that will take the next generation to a level we could only imagine.
Water for Africa has purchased a 51 acre farm in Tanzania. Over the coming years this land would be used to develop and establish a WFA HQ and base for the operations, establish a sustainable farming project to help fund the water projects, and equip local Pastors and run training workshops for the local people.
We believe the ‘Sustainable Farming’ project has the potential to greatly impact our work with the goal to see Tanzania become self-sustainable through the crops we grow, harvest and sell. The social impact is of equal value to the people and communities we work with. This new venture would give employment to people in the surrounding area around the farm reaching every area of the community from food supply, education, health, spiritual growth and overall wellbeing. It would bring hope, dignity and empowerment.
Stage 1: $60,000 to purchase the land
Stage 2: $40,000 for development
