Help me fundraise to build a library in Batase village, Nepal. This project has support from 'Libraries without Borders' and the charity Friends of Himalayan Children, but we need more help. In September I am joining a challenging trek to Everest Base Camp with an amazing group of women from Cairns. We will have all female porters from Batase village, providing them with a good source of income and a glimpse at other possible futures. It's a different path that doesn't involve marriage at 14 or 15 or worse, being trafficked into the sex trade. And a 21st century library can help to tackle issues like trafficking and poverty by providing access to information and education. Let's make it a reality!
