Hi Everyone, I am Hayden’s mum and I have started this fundraising campaign to help get Hayden to Italy in September 2018.
Hayden is only 15 and has worked extremely hard, training 4hrs everyday after school and he won his kickboxing fights at the Arnold Classic in Melbourne in March this year.
Hayden has been chosen for the Australian Wako Kickboxing Team which will be competing in the World Championships in Italy in September this year.
A little background on Hayden and our lives.
Hayden lost his dad to cancer 2 weeks after his 4th birthday in December 2006.
As a single mother of 3 boys, I have struggled, but I have attempted to give my boys access to same life as if their dad were still alive. Their Dad, was a huge fan of sports and I know would be very proud to see Hayden achieve this level in kickboxing.
Hayden and his older brothers have had the support of family but have still struggled a lot with the loss of their father.
Hayden started kickboxing approximately 2 years ago on a recommendation from a family friend, as a way for him to deal with the frustration he has dealt with since his father passed away.
Master Phil, from Kickboxing and Taekwondo at DMA(Diamond Martial Arts) in Coffs Harbour has helped Hayden develop focus and dedication to a sport he truly loves and excels at.
The money raised will help pay for Hayden’s flights, accommodation and match fees.
I am working additional overtime shifts to raise the money and Hayden is putting in all his earnings from his weekend job also.
I would be very grateful for your help and know that Hayden’s dad, Alan would be very proud of where he has come in his sport, whether he is able to compete in Italy or not. Thank you
