My name is Ruth Walker. I am a walker by name - but not by nature. Running (much shorter distances) is my thing.
I am looking forward to the physical challenge of walking a massive 100km over 2 days - and raising money for a special cause at the same time... I heard about Chloe and the Saxby family through a friend. I was inspired by the family's courage and determination. I also love that groups of friends are getting together to do something positive and raise money and find a cure for Vanishing White Matter Disease.

Chloe's cause is a special one. Vanishing White Matter Disease is a condition that usually affects young children - the most vulnerable in our community. It is a rare degenerative neurological condition with no cure yet.
I am pretty honoured to be part of this 2-day adventure with a group of other strong and enthusiastic women... I just hope it doesn't rain!
Brilliant job for a wonderful cause.
