My name is Kristy Oliver, mum to 3 kids, and married to Jay.
After my husband Jay, participated in the “Ride For Chloe” back in October 2017, I always thought what if there was a way I could get involved in raising more needed funds for Chloe Saxby and all those who are suffering from Vanishing White Matter Disease.
Our family have been involved in a number of charities, but Saving Chloe Saxby is now a major part of our lives. To be able to try and make a tiny difference in finding that cure for Chloe and kids just like her, but also for their families who are also suffering with this disease every day of their lives, is something we definitely want to be a part of.
So, when my own girlfriends came up with the idea of “Walk for Chloe”, how could I not be a part of it.
I mean, us girls can walk and talk, so imagine the conversations we will have over 100km’s. I’m sure the voices will get a workout along with the legs over the Walk weekend.
Our aim to walk 100km in 2 days is so little compared to the challenges that Chloe, her family and all other kids fighting VWM must face everyday.
Funding is desperately needed to help find this cure!
I would like to try and raise $3000 for “Walk for Chloe”.
Please help me reach my goal so that we can help Chloe, her family and all the other kids fighting this cruel disease reach their goal!!
Well done girls. So very proud of you all xxx
