I am a 26-year-old gym junkie who loves a challenge! I was made aware (and was completely inspired) by what Richard Turner and the other men did last year with Ride for Chloe. When Emily and Angela Turner approached me about this idea of Walk for Chloe, I immediately said yes count me in!
The more I have learnt about Chloe’s story and Vanishing White Matter Disease (VWM), the more confident I felt with my choice to participate in this charity walk and raise much needed awareness for this devastating disease. To put this into context, this rare disease only affects 1 in 40 million people (mainly children). There are fewer than 200 children living with the condition worldwide.
100km in two days will be something I have never done before (and let’s be honest it ain’t going to be easy), but I am determined to do this for the Saxby family and other families who are living with VWM.
We are in a race against time to save Chloe and with your support and donation, you will be helping edge closer to finding a cure for VWM.
My personal fundraising goal: $2,000
Great effort Ri!!!
