Namaste and thank you for visiting my Fundraising Page for the AHF Himalaya Schools Trek 2017!

With a background in nursing I now work for local government Community Services in the Bayside region of Melbourne. So I am not unfamiliar with the deep satisfaction derived from working with and for your local community.

This amazing opportunity to assist with practical support to assist these remote communities to rebuild schools and provide work opportunities AND to trek the most remote areas of the Himalaya was frankly irresistible. I am thrilled to be a part of this very special group of trekkers. I look forward to meeting with the local people and feel privileged to have access to their way of life and ultimately I trust we can make a difference.

Please help me by donating via the donate now button. All donations go directly to the AFH who currently:

1. Fund over 700 annual student scholarships in the Himalayan region
2. Provides training to over 1,500 teachers in the Himalayan region
3. Provides assistance to over 300 schools in the Himalayan region.

It costs just $200 a year to put a girl through school in the Himalaya and $1000 to provide vocational training for a woman
