With a background in nursing I now work for local government Community Services in the Bayside region of Melbourne. So I am not unfamiliar with the deep satisfaction derived from working with and for your local community. This amazing opportunity to assist with practical support to assist these remote communities to rebuild schools and provide work opportunities AND to trek the most remote areas of the Himalaya was frankly irresistible. I am thrilled to be a part of this very special group of trekkers. I look forward to meeting with the local people and feel privileged to have access to their way of life and ultimately I trust we can make a difference.
