On November 7th of 2016, Donna took her husband to the hospital to have an Xray. The concern was possibly a broken bone from a fall. The night before, Mike had fallen out of bed and was experiencing pain in his leg. The hospital stay caused lot of issues and then things just escalited, Mike obtained a staff infection, pneumonia and lung fungus. This was just the start of the nightmare that was to come. It was 6 months later before Donna could return home from that trip to the hospital. Despite the Doctors, nurses, insurance companies and even Mike's own family giving up and accepting that Mike will not survive, Donna persisted in keeping Mike alive. Donna is home now, but Mike needs care the insurance won't provide but should, so Donna used her influence with the company she works for to start a program to help people who need proper care, but can't afford it and insurance won't pay for it. Mike has returned to the hospital today 6-12-2017 for an outpatient surgery and he has not come out from the anesthesia and is now in ICU. The family needs prayers and help financially to overcome the financial debt from what the insurance is not wanting to help with. Donna has been by her husband's side every day through this horrible journey and she is not understanding how this has moved to this point in their life.
