Running for abused Women & Children

With my run - Marathon des Sables - I am supporting women and children who has been affected by domestic violence. Domestic violence is not always a physical but emotional too and leaves deep scars. I have chosen a non for profit organisation back in Estonia (my home country) - Parnu Naiste Tugikeskus (www.naistevarjupaik.ee) - who's mission is to support, help and offer opportunities for recovery for women and children. As founder and CEO Margo Orupold said, one of the biggest issues affected mothers and children are facing is the lost connection between them. Mothers usually are so stresses, withdrawn and depressed, they don't know how to have fun, be supportive and attentive. For few years now Margo has organised a Mothers & Children Camp to help reconnect and it has had massive success and effect. Unfortunately it is not government funded and they purely rely on the donations. Next Camp takes place on August. I am kindly asking you all to support this movement - all together we can change someone's life.
