In 2010, Ann Nioa, a single mother of two who had lost her husband to cancer, was involved in a head-on car crash on her way home. Sadly the other driver was killed on impact. Anne was lucky to survive, just.
Anne's accident was devastating and her road to recovery was challenging for both her and her family. It wasn't until further down the track that Anne realised the mental impact of her accident.
"I had quite a big panic attack and was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress. As well as the physical side, the mental side was quite a bit to deal with," Anne said.
