Jasmyn is 11 years old and was born a healthy beautiful girl, full of energy and life. At 15 months Jasmyn had a seizure which lasted over 70 minutes, leaving her with severe brain damaged.
Jasmyn was diagnosed with Spastic Quadriplegia Cerebral Palsy following an acute brain injury and medical experts did not hold high hopes for her future but the determination of her parents, sister, extended family and friends and Jasmyn's own determination has seen Jasmyn develop into a beautiful girl with the future ahead of her.
Jasmyn is wheelchair bound and attends Glenroy Specialist school where fun activities & therapy is a part of her daily routine. She cannot communicate, is fed through a peg in her stomach but has recently started to eat orally which has been a great achievement of hers.
A couple of years ago the Variety Club generously raised funds to install ceiling hoists & a shower chair in Jasmyn's home to assist in lifting and also providing Jasmyn an opportunity to "walk" with the assistance of a walking sling. This has been a huge change in not only her life but her families as well.
A few months ago the family vehicle was written off by another driver. Thankfully no one was injured, but it has left Jasmyn unable to attend school and have limited outings due to not having correct seating requirements and room for her wheelchair to be transported.
The ideal vehicle for Jasmyn's family would be one that is converted to be able to transport Jasmyn in her wheelchair. As Jasmyn's mum is unable to work being her full time carer and Jasmyn's dad is the sole provider financially, they have been unable to secure a loan through the bank to purchase a suitable vehicle. It has been incredibly stressful times for the family.
Jasmyn's family is committed to providing the best quality of life for Jasmyn and have been so grateful for all the wonderful support by family, friends and strangers in assisting them in their needs.

Jasmyns Mother Daniella was involved in an accident which wrote the family car off, unfortunately insurance was insufficient to replace the car , the family need a car which can be fitted out to accommodate Jasmyns wheelchair so she can attend hospital visits and development school.
