Coominya local Rachael Stephens, 12 years old, has her heart set on the Australian Taekwondo Nationals which will be held at Bendigo VIC at the end of August 2016. This is expected to be a highly competitive event with the nation's emerging future stars fighting for glory.
Rachael's passion for Taekwondo started at the age of 10. Since then, Rachael has represented Queensland in last year's national competition, and represented Australia twice in New Zealand. On both occasions she won gold in poomsae and sparring. Rachael has clocked many miles travelling to interstate and international events this year for greater exposure and valuable experience.
We would appreciate an opportunity to attend Nationals and not be burdened by financial worries. This is just one of the many steps she will be taking in the hope of realising her own olympic dream. Please support Rachael to reach her goal and know that she will repay any assistance with a commitment to do her very best in representing her state, and ultimately her country.
Way to go Rachael. Best of luck from Eva and Katie in Melbourne xxxxx
