My name is Courtney, I am 15 years old and my dream is to represent Australia at the BMX World Titles.
My journey commenced in May 2013 when I got my first BMX bike, I had found my passion. In September the same year I decided to step it up and ride in the QLD State Titles. Unfortunately, this did not end well, a crash in the semi final ended in a broken collar bone. This did not deter me as I was back on the bike in 4 weeks and even more determined. Since the beginning I have been chipping my way to the top, each year getting closer to the top riders in Australia. In 2015 I had qualified to compete in the World Titles but unfortunately we did not have the funds to make the trip. I sat at home and in the early hours of the morning watched the Aussies do battle on live TV, dreaming of the day I will be there. Mum and I began to plan for the trip to Colombia in May 2016. Even getting to the point of booking accommodation. Then disaster struck Mum lost her job. It looked like my dream was again going to be put on hold. The only way I can now get to Colombia is to raise the funds myself. I have planned a chocolate drive and a raffle for early in 2016 but I still need your help.
