Known for his different choices in hairstyle over the years, Michael Hurley has decided to shave it all off for a good cause and charity close to his heart.
“After a long couple of years copping it about my hair, it’s finally coming off! I’m trying to raise some money for an amazing charity called the MAD foundation.” - Hurley
Michael has been actively involved with The Make A Difference Foundation for the past 4 years, who are a volunteer run organisation raising funds to help disadvantaged children and young people. Learn more about MAD Foundation at www.madfoundation.com.au
MAD has helped with funding to specific cases identified through the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne, disability programs and The Department of Developmental Medicine which goes to equipment (wheelchairs, ramp access at home, therapeutic beds), therapy and respite over the course of a child’s life who suffer such disabilities as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, autism spectrum disorders, acquired neurological disabilities and other developmental disabilities.
“I want to be able to help someone, who otherwise would struggle to fund whatever it is they need to get better. I’m lucky enough to be in a position where I can help and to do something so simple that can made a big difference in someone else’s life"
Better late than never! Great work Mick!
