Over the last 7 weeks, 20 determined, driven and perhaps a little "crazy" corporate men and woman , have embarked upon a 12 week boxing journey, to raise money for our Sydney based charity organization called Lifestart. Lifestart helps support children and families with intellectual disabilities and developmental delays.
This boxing Journey, requires the boxers to get in the best shape of their life, follow a strict training regime that includes, running, weight training, sparring, boxing training and lots of pushups, ab work and general conditioning.
Perhaps the hardest part is sticking to the healthy eating plan, and living the life of a fighter and cutting out the booze and junk food.
At the end of the 12 weeks the brave men and woman will lace up their gloves and have a real, sanctioned boxing fight, complete with referee's, judges, ringside doctor and in front of a 500 strong audience.
Why are they doing this? One of the big motivating factors for our boxers is for the cause they are doing it all for.
Helping the kids and families that are dealing with life with a disability such as autism or perhaps are having some developmental delays.
Not only are we asking for the support of our brave boxers, But also for our Sydney based charity Lifestart who provides services and financial assistance to the kids and families who need it most.
