Hi, I’m Ana, a single mum to two beautiful little ones, aged 3 and 1. In 2020, my life changed when I became disabled due to Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, which causes my joints to dislocate constantly, and a neurological condition caused by domestic violence that affects my balance, coordination, and ability to feel my legs. My Story: Being a mum with a disability is hard, but I do everything I can for my kids. My wheelchair recently broke, and now I’m relying on a borrowed one just to get through each day. Without a proper wheelchair, simple things—like taking my kids to the park, daycare or doing everyday tasks—become almost impossible. SWEP funding covers $1,000, but I still need to raise $16,500 to get a wheelchair that will truly give me the freedom to be the best mum I can be. Why I Need Your Support: This wheelchair isn’t just equipment—it’s my independence. It’s how I keep up with my kids, take care of them, and live my life. Any amount you can give, big or small, will make a huge difference. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and support. Please share my story and help me get moving again!
We all deserve freedom of movement xx
