About
We are heartbroken to share that our dear friend, brother, and son Dave / Chaitanyadev Das has passed away.
Many people would know that Dave experienced mental health problems. We would like to honour his legacy by raising funds in his name to support Rotary Health mental health research.
Dave was a vibrant soul with a hunger for adventure and challenge. He engaged with many diverse communities in his life and will be deeply missed by those who he touched.
Dave would be very pleased to have funds raised in his honour for mental health research.
Australian Rotary Health is one of the largest independent funding bodies of mental health research in Australia. They also provide funding into a broad range of general health areas, offer scholarships for rural medical and nursing students, as well as Indigenous health students.

Dave, we only met briefly but that short exchange will forever leave me wishing that we had worked together more.
Even with that short encounter you struck me as smart, interesting and above all, a good man who strove to improve the world around him. None of us know what follows this life, but I hope that wherever you are that you have found peace, and that the best efforts of those of us who remain make you proud of us.
Rest well. And I fondly hope that I will see you on the other side.
