Assistance for local family who lost their home in a fire

Our beautiful neighbours lost their home in a fire yesterday when their home suddenly caught fire on a 34c day. They are a family of four, with two daughters aged 10 and 11, who have lost everything in the middle of their school holiday.

Whilst the CFA responded instantly, and neighbours were all there to help, unfortunately the house couldn’t be saved and they walked away with only the clothes on their back and their phones. The young girls have lost all their Christmas presents, their school uniforms (the eldest was very excited to be starting high school this year and has lost all her text books and new uniform), all their clothes and toys - and the parents have lost everything including technology, work items, clothing, car keys, furniture etc.

We’re hoping to raise enough for them to replace the essentials, the girls school items, and ensure they’re able to move forward from this tragedy. There’s been an outpouring of love from the whole community and I know so many people want to help them get back on their feet.
