Who are we?

Habonim Dror Melbourne is a youth-led Jewish Youth movement that has been active for over 80 years, engaging and enriching the community through dynamic informal education. Habo provides weekly programs, camps and events for Years 3-12 from both Jewish and non-Jewish schools. Our educational programs focus on Jewish identity, Socialist-Zionism, community, inclusivity and leadership. Through critically analysing the world around us, we strive to empower the youth, providing them with the ability to develop a meaningful Jewish and zionist identity that exists in all spheres of life. The unique atmosphere created in the movement has ensured we are one of the largest Jewish youth organisations in Australia.


To celebrate another year of fostering Jewish life, connection and education, Habonim Dror Melbourne are running a fundraiser so that we can continue providing fun and educational weekly programs and camps for the local Jewish youth and wider Jewish community. After a challenging year for the Jewish world, we are reaching out to our wonderful community to support us next year and beyond!

By donating to us, you will directly help increase our ability to subsidise our participants and upgrade our resources. Additionally, in these times, we place great value on providing more training for our madrichim, ensuring they are even better equipped to educate about Judaism and Zionism.
