The Repair Café Hobart is one of very few Repair Cafes in Tasmania that repair electrical appliances thus preventing them from unnecessarily ending up as landfill. Public Liability requires us to test and tag our volunteers' electrical equipment used in repairs and the testing of appliances that come to us for repair is seen as a safety precaution. As Hobart Repair Café operates exclusively on donations, the purchase of Testing & Tagging equipment is beyond our financial reach and so we're calling upon the public to help us reach the target of $1500 to enable us to purchase the T&T gear.
