Raising funds for: FUNDRAISING FOR Peaceful Bayside
In 2024, Peaceful Bayside is enabling voters with an exciting choice for fresh, visionary leadership at the council elections on 14 September 2024. Can you help fuel our campaign to represent you on the council to make a better Bayside? All donations are tax-deductible! $25 will print info cards for us to hand to #100 Baysiders $50 will get our message in #250 people's letterbox $100 makes a bold statement with #15 large street signs $200 dresses 8 of our volunteer team in impactful Peaceful Bayside T-shirts $500 is "massive" impact – you'll reach #2,500 voters with crucial how-to-vote information $1,000* instantly supercharges our campaign by funding a full polling booth kit with T-shirts, street signs, and how-to-vote cards so Peaceful Bayside has a strong presence at your local polling booth! We are not a big political party. We are not backed by big business. We are concerned citizens like you who are standing up to enable fresh visionary leadership for Bayside Council. Political Donation Restrictions The NSW Government sets out several prohibitions about who can donate to a campaign. If you belong to any of the following groups below, you CANNOT donate to a campaign: a. a property developer (including anyone becoming a property developer within 12 months) b. a tobacco industry business entity c. a liquor or gambling industry business entity d. a close associate of (a), (b) or (c) e. any industry representative organisation if the majority of its members are those listed in (a), (b) or (c) * If you make a political donation to a New South Wales political party, candidate or other political participant in NSW, you may have a legal duty to report the donation to the New South Wales Electoral Commission. A reportable political donation is a single donation of $1,000 or more or multiple small donations made to the same recipient in a financial year that, when added together, total $1,000 or more. Political donors must disclose any reportable political donations they make. Political donors that make reportable political donations are called major political donors and they must disclose to the NSW Electoral Commission annually after the end of the financial year. It is the responsibility of each major political donor to disclose by the annual deadline. Update
31 Jul 2024
Dear Peaceful Bayside supporters! Well with less than 5 weeks til the election, it's been a marathon and now we are in sprint mode! Thanks to your help, we have almost completed letterboxing the whole of Bayside with our first round of campaign flyers. A team of volunteers has been wearing out the tread of their shoes and braving high winds to get this done. Election signs like the one pictured above are also going in (and combatting high winds too!). And the next big push will be printing how to vote cards for before the election for every home and for election day. It honestly takes a village to make all this happen - and your donation is making this dream of a Peaceful Bayside come step by step into a reality. I've decided to keep this fundraiser open as donations keep trickling in( and lovely messages of support), and we are also holding a big in-person FUN-draiser this weekend + meet the candidates night: so come along! It's at Moorefield Bowling Club from 6pm for Trivia at 7.30, Sat 3rd August. Tickets can be bought here: https://www.peacefulbayside.com/trivia-night Thanks again and Ill keep in touch with more updates!! xx Heidi Lee Douglas PS please email me at heidi.peacefulbayside@gmail.com if you'd like to volunteer to host an election sign at your home, share our flyers at your place of business, or help letterbox your neighbourhood - or just email me and say hi! :-)
