Aaron Finishes Treatment - Family Need A Car

Aaron is 3 yrs old and has Stage IV High Risk Neuroblastoma. In December 2022 just after his 2nd Birthday a large 15 cm abdominal mass was discovered along with a second mass in his neck. The tumour encases several arteries and veins making it unresectable.

Aaron has completed 5 cycles of induction chemotherapy, two rounds of high dose chemotherapy and stem cell transplants, multiple surgeries and blood transfusions and is about to complete his 5th cycle of Immunotherapy. After this he will have reassessment scans for radiation and that will conclude the treatment protocol and pending scans we will have a much clearer perspective of what life and further treatment will look like for Aaron.

It has been discovered that Aaron's tumour is VIP secreting (Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide). The only cure for these tumours is resection. It hasn't been officially stated yet but it has been implied that any treatment for Aaron is life prolonging.

We are asking the community to assist in raising funds for a vehicle. When Aaron was diagnosed Mum had to cease work which was to save for a car after losing access to a vehicle since separation. Aaron finishes his last planned hospital admission of 10 days on the 14th of April. It would be amazing for our family if he could be driven home from hospital in a vehicle that will assist our family in everyday things like school pick up/drop off and all the adventures he would like to get up to that he has missed out on during the 18 months of treatment.

An SUV style or 7/8 seater would allow our family to help out our Aunties and Nanny in a small way after all the support they have given us during this time. There are three cousins that have been amazing supports for Ella since being separated from her brother and Mum.

We would like to thank the community for their support. We cannot wait to be at our home base reconnecting with all the things we used to do. Visiting the local library, going to Rashays for lunches or hot chocolates, all the events in Nicholas Street and more.
