In 2017, my daughter was born at 29 weeks and 5 days weighing 1.01kg or just over 2.2lbs. She survived and is a very healthy 6yr old. However, not so many families are quite so lucky and go through days, months and years of heartache and hardship. Now its my turn to give something back to all the people that helped us. In June 2024 i will be running 30 marathons in 30 days. My aim is to raise as much money as i can for charity and also create awareness for a good cause. Follow me, follow us and i guess....lets get running!

Alittle bit from Mircale Babies: When a baby is born premature or sick the experience is life-changing and the impacts can last a lifetime.
Every year in Australia, around 48,000 babies are born requiring the specialised care of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit or Special Care Nursery. Sadly, up to 1,000 of these babies will lose their fight for life.
These babies can face lifelong challenges and parents are at increased risk of PTSD, anxiety and post-natal depression. Access to peer support for these parents, along with education, has been proven to lead to better long-term outcomes for the entire family unit.
Funds raised will help Miracle Babies Foundation to support more families who are going through the emotional rollercoaster of having a baby born fighting for their life. Miracle Babies Foundation is Australia’s leading not for profit organisation supporting premature and sick newborns, their families and the Hospitals that care for them. The NurtureProgram is globally recognised in the Neonatal Field and includes:
NurtureLine: 24 Hour Family Support Helpline NurtureTime: In-Hospital Peer Support. Miracle Babies’ Trained Support Team are all parents who themselves have been through the experience of having a premature or sick baby. The Support Team visit families in hospital (most often cot side), to provide hope, guidance, reassurance and much needed emotional support. NurtureGroup: After Discharge specialised play and support groups (for babies from 0 until school age) NurtureResources: Providing vital information, tools and support at every stage of their journey. Nurture ‘E’ Online Information Hub: Assisting parents and children throughout all life stages, from pregnancy up until adulthood.
Sadly, around 2 in 3 families are still without access to this vital support. Your support will help Miracle Babies Foundation expand the reach of its NurtureProgram.
I’m raising funds to particularly support families in the Newcastle and Hunter Regions through In-Hospital Peer Support (NurtureTime) and Miracle Babies’ Nurture Resources provided to families in the hospital.
Every amount help, $143 will provide full support to one more family through their Hospital journey alone which could be weeks or months with their baby in specialised care.
Amazing effort
